I cannot get Rule Groups to work on Little Snitch 4, and ObjDev is no help.
Here’s an imgur album of my rule group from the ads_yoyo.org rule group subscription and Little Snitch allowing Safari to connect to one of the blocked domains regardless: https://imgur.com/a/XFu6LUr.

Hi naveed,
I have a problem with rules groups from your website.
It looks like when I subscribe it creates a group with a single rule which includes all domains. But those domain names doesn’t have spaces and Little snitch treats them as a single domain and that doesn’t allow it to filter properly.
When I duplicated one of the rules from your website and added couple spaces between domains it started working for those domains.
Hi, is there a way to change the files to behave similarly to malwares_firehol1/malwares_firehol2? It seems to be an efficient way for the rules to be created.

Hi Naveed
The following 3 lists do not seem to have a “high” priority url available. In little snitch i get a “file not found” error.
– prigent.malware
– airelles.antisex
– lightswitch05
The regular urls work fine, but then they are not set to high priority in my little snitch application on mac os.
I cannot access https://rulegroups.com/ip-acl-by-country/ or https://rulegroups.com with any browser on most computers on my network anymore. Little Snitch also shows an error (yellow triangle with exclamation mark) to the right or the subscription in the Rules list. A few computers still work. These are all public IPs and I have tried with Little Snitch disabled. They worked fine when I subscribed – any suggestions?
Hi PMB, yes you may reffer IP ACL by Country page. https://rulegroups.com/ip-acl-by-country/
it allows you to subscribe to the IP per country as published by IANA and updated daily.
Can you check easylist rule group. *In example* domain macrumors.com. “Deny outgoing connections to domain macrumors.com” It is a popular Apple news site and forum not a malmare site.
Now I have to comment out a certain site – or a whole rule group subscribe if there is more blocked domains. Maybe easylist is difficult because it has many rules for only blocking site elements and not always whole site.
Original easylist: macrumors.com##.sidebarblock, macrumors.com##.sidebarblock2 and acrumors.com##.tertiary.
Hi there,
FYI your website does not work in the latest Firefox (i’m on macOS) for some reason… the rule groups (table) is not visible/loading.
Thanks for the useful lists by the way 🙂
Best regards from the Netherlands.
Thanks for the feedback, I will check on this.
Fixed it for Firefox.

Hi Naveed,
I’ve been subscribing to your rules from the github for a while now, thank you for doing this!
I was wondering if it is possible to make a file that could be subscribed too specifically for Facebook domains?
jmdugan/blocklists on Github has the domains, but they look more like host files, and aren’t compatible with ls.rules
Thanks and keep up the awesome work!
Hi Malcolm,
Sorry missed you comment in spam, surely it is do able. I will look into it
Could you please add Rule Groups for Jerryn70 ?
https://github.com/jerryn70/GoodbyeAds
Thanks!
Love your efforts and the website design!
Hi naveed,
I used your rules before (from GitHub) but now when I am adding rule groups from the website it looks like it’s not working.
Please check this screencast https://www.loom.com/share/b5c9ebdc4e244bcb81b8acac663e2684?sharedAppSource=personal_library
When I add and activate a rule group ads_disconnect.me I still can access those websites.
What should I do to ensure it working properly.
Thank you for your effort to put that rule groups together.

I use little snitch 4.5.2

Hey, awesome resource! Many thanks for your work here.
Could you also add the following?
https://github.com/jmdugan/blocklists/tree/master/corporations/facebook
sure
or better yet, this list please
https://www.github.developerdan.com/hosts/lists/facebook-extended.txt
I added this list, just search for facebook or social
THANK YOU! VERY MUCH! 🙂
Would it be possible to curate a little snitch list specifically for facebook domains? Similar to what jmdugan has on github, but in LS format? https://github.com/jmdugan/blocklists/tree/master/corporations/facebook

Would you consider adding a rule group for GEOIP Russia?

airelle domains appear to be broken, they are all 0 right now
airelle has temporarily stopped providing updated host file. As soon as latest host file will be available they will be updated accordingly.
Hi, the SSL certificate has expired. It would be great if you could update it.
Hi Certificate has been fixed. you may access the website now
